MATERIALS : Galvanised steel lath in 76
mm. curved or 50 mm. flat section - the sections can be – solid
– perforated – punched in-line or brick-bond pattern –
punched and glazed. Also available from BGID is the Tube & Link
type of grill, offering maximum vision into the shop area when the
shutter is closed down.
FINISH
: the lath can be left in its natural galvanized steel finish, but
is more commonly polyester powder coat paint finished in a RAL standard
colour. As with the aluminium sections of the shop front itself, this
work is undertaken in BGID’s own continuous process paint plant.
OPERATION
: BGID’s Scimitar shop front shutters can be manually or electrically
operated. In the latter case a tube motor, fitted within the barrel
of the shutter itself, is powered by either 3 phase or single phase
power supply, and controlled by – internal push button or key
pad – external key switch within a lockable box – hand
held remote control.
