BGID
The Company.
BGID
was formed in 1974 as a partnership between Phil Fitzpatrick
and John Foulds. Successful initial trading, firstly in domestic
garage doors, lead to involvement in the industrial door field.
Continued progress in this area then lead, in 1984, to Paul
Doswell joining the Board as Director and General Manager.
From
humble beginnings in Malt Mill Lane Blackheath, the company
has grown steadily over the years, taking a first, then a second
unit on the Griffin Industrial Estate. Now employing more than
50 people, and with activities split between the supply and
installation of up and over garage doors, and the design, manufacture,
supply and installation of a full range of industrial, security
and commercial doors. BGID also manufactures its own Rowley
range of steel side hinged garage doors, together with Electroglide,
which is an electrically operated domestic roller door.
Late
in 2005, a third unit on the Griffin Industrial Estate in Rowley
Regis was purchased, and a “state of the art” continuous
process powder coat paint plant installed. A fully automated
pre-treatment plant is also to be installed. The investment
of some £300,000 in these facilities is a major step for
BGID and vastly increases the company’s powder coating
facilities. Just as important is the significantly increased
employment opportunities the company now offers.
BGID’s vehicles are easily recognisable by their company
livery, and all installation engineers are employed directly
by BGID, and wear company clothing so that you can be sure that
you are dealing a professional business. BGID’s 30 + years
of trading has brought it an almost unrivalled level of experience
and expertise. So when you want domestic garage doors, industrial,
security and commercial doors, maintenance and repair –
the latter on a 24/7 basis – contact the professionals
